Elena Pastor-Rivero has over ten years of practicing and teaching yoga. She was originally trained in the Iyengar yoga tradition, which is focused on alignment and the therapeutic aspects of the asanas and pranayama (breathing techniques). Elena received her yoga certification in Ashtanga yoga, an athletic and dynamic style of yoga. From these two traditions, Elena has developed a strong yoga practice the combines spiritual growth with physical strength and mind/body therapy. Her classes begin with a simple mantra upon which she builds a sequence of asanas linked with meditation to help students look within to uncover their unique mind/body connection.

Charlie Harrington is a RYT 200 (Registered Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance in multiple styles of hatha yoga. He has practiced yoga and meditation for 37 years. Yoga teaches that our natural state is a manifestation of the perfection of the universe. Yoga is a means by which we join that perfection in our lives by realigning to that natural state.

Mimi Evans is a fitness enthusiast, marathon runner and yoga practitioner who has moved from teaching high impact aerobics to what she believes to be a better form of exercise for the body and mind: YOGA. She has found in her own practice that yoga has improved many important parts of her life and enjoys sharing this experience in helping others to do the same. She believes that a yoga practice will have a serious impact on your life “from reduced stress and weight loss to a new awareness of yourself and more fulfilling relationships with those that you love.”

Taisha Weber, RYT Whether you are brand new to yoga or just want to dig deeper into proper yoga alignment and practice, this class is a great place to learn in a supportive environment designed for every willing student. The class is designed to allow anyone to discover and enjoy their own yogic path from a perspective of compassion, curiosity and joy.

Our study of yoga postures, or asana, is a fantastic practice benefiting the mind, body and spirit. In class we tone, stretch and detoxify the body. We create body awareness, and improve balance and focus. We also develop peace, relaxation and stillness that carry over into every aspect of our lives.

Taisha has had the privilege of studying with many fantastic teachers from a variety of different styles in the Midwest, California and now here in New England. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through the Yoga Alliance whose own studies continue. Her classes blend the precise teachings of Iyengar yoga with the flowing vinyasa style that can create the feeling of a moving meditation. A mother of three young children who juggles many life and physical challenges, she relates well to others dealing with such hurdles and helps them to embrace their own unique path.
